Instead, non-profits are organized to pursue social, educational, charitable, or other similar missions that benefit the broader community or specific groups of people. Non-profits are governed by a volunteer board of directors who are responsible for overseeing the organization governance and ensuring it operates in accordance with its mission and legal requirements.
We are a non-profit housing organization focused on the governance role; we operate with a volunteer Board of Directors.
For individuals or families, certain housing forms are more appropriate than others, ideally people live in homes that are appropriate for their life. Affordable means that the shelter cost for a home does fits with the economic means of the individual or family.
We work with seven (7) collaborative properties along with twenty (20) clients in NB and PEI.
